NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut 8. Reel 481. [Recorded on 2 different days.] "Weather: fair. a) 30/8/63. 1800 hours. Notes: This is Bird #2, in essentially the neighboring territory, the two being separated by a stream thickly bordered w/ bamboo. Note that while Bird #1 puts a fancy twist @ the beginning of its trill, this one puts it at the end of its trill. Cut length: 35"; Quality: 1; Level: 3 1/2. Tape: 311. b) 31/VIII/63, 5:30AM. Notes: Same bird #2, next morning. Note that it often doubles up its song, something it did now, but not later in the AM. First part recorded peaking @ ~-5 to -=4 db, the last @ ~0 db, done intentionally to compare overloading between the two types of tape and print-through on the 311. Cut length: 2'00"; Quality: 1; Level 3 1/2. Tape: 311." PAS.
