Observation details
I would appreciate review of this bird. It was confusing because it had a narrow but distinct eye-ring. It was in the dead willow by the bridge to the island. The long broad-sided bill eliminates most except Willow and "Western", but the eyering is complete above the eye and does not clearly taper behind the eye even though there are hints of a teardrop effect. I would expect a Western to be yellower below and greener above given that it is in fresh plumage. The brownish wingbars also suggest Willow. I did not hear it call.
