Observation details
First county record. Bright vireo with round-headed and short-tailed appearance. Only potential source of confusion is a bright fall Warbling Vireo. This bird has a bright lemon yellow breast, throat and flanks, fading toward white near the belly, whereas a bright Warbling Vireo would have yellow limited to the sides. Undertail area bright lemon yellow. Uppers gray-green with a contrasting dark cap. Wings gray, with the diagnostic small dark triangle evident at the base of the primaries when wings folded. Face relatively brightly patterned with a gray eyeline through the lores that contrasted with a white supercilium and white below eye. Legs and feet a rather bright blue.
