Observation details
Found by Brendan Grube, who I believe first saw it in flight. Landed on the water east of the lighthouse pier, and over the next two hours slowly drifted east, a few hundred yards off the beach. When I left it was northeast of the parking lot. See photos and video for diagnostic profile shots. Lighting was poor and I never picked up much plumage detail, but there appeared to still be some white on the cheek.
