Observation details
This bird was feeding in a mix of vegetation including Arroyo willows, fennel, poison hemlock, and bristly ox-tongue. It was green above with faint dark streaks on the back, The face, throat and chest were yellow but the rest of the undersides were white.The face had a dark line through the eye. There were faint black streaks at the side of the breast. The undertail coverts looked long giving the bird a short tailed appearance. The wing had two somewhat bold white wingbars and the tertails were noticeably edged with white. Photos showed the bird had a pale lower mandible and feet (Photos)
