Observation details
Long-staying individual continuing in small marsh by viewpoint south of visitor centre. Waited 1 hour 10 mins before first appearance, when bird showed fleetingly before venturing briefly into the open. Probably a juvenile, based on slightly paler throat and fine white speckling extending to lower face and along supercilium as far as above eye. In rear view, plain buff undertail coverts highly distinctive.
