NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 2. Bulk reel: 399 Calls by flying birds. Whistle heard is of Acropternis orthonyx. Then of foraging birds. Quality: 2 & 1. Level: +3. 139 tape. Note: This species of Pionus flies like an Amazona, although occasionally it does lift the wings higher as in P. menstruus.
