NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 34. Bulk reel: 378Time: 5:23 AM-5:45 AM. Weather: Slightly cloudy; fair with moon. Note: This is a copy from N-IV to N-4.2 made 3 3/4 ips to save space; original recording was at 7.5 ips.Nothing heard as I walked from building to observation site. A bird started quiet "ao" calls just after I arrived, up the ridge; it then flew, with flight call over to other side ridge. The present recording begins with "ao" calls of bird down the hill from me beginning ~ 5:35 AM.Then a second bird started to call; this apparently brought "bother" calls from the first bird. Then again are heard "ao" calls. (There are voice comments on the tape.) Quality: 2. Level: +5.Although the bird stopped calling @ 5:45 AM, it remained overhead. After a few minutes, it flew to another tree, out of sight, and may have moved on. At 5:50 I tried playback of the recorded "ao" calls but there was no apparent reaction up to 5:55 AM. (No flight display heard this AM). Lower bird did not come up to chase away the upper bird (which was over me) away today.
