Media notes

NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 19. Bulk reel: 375 While recording pauxi I heard in background the upward ascending series whistle (see cut 14 etc.) (some of which filed here) but by time I realized that bird was fairly close (with phones on I thought sound from south of me where there was again much activity) and changed forms, the whistling stopped and I recorded a display. Quality: 3. Level: +10. Quality: 2. Level: +5. Then bird burst into excited calls (flight and conflict), after which I focused on it. There are occasional "ao" calls but mostly "conflict" calls and bird flew with flight call. Quality: 2. Level: +5. Quality: 1. Level: 0.
