NOTES: Cover density: OPEN; Breeding status: TERRITORIAL PAIRED; T.D. USAMBIRO. THE SONG OF THIS BIRD IS IN DUET, NO DOUBT BY A PAIR. THIS BEGINS WITH A PURRING NOISE AND THEN A SHARP REEDY TUK-TIK IS ADDED. I DID NOT HAVE TIME TO SEE WHICH BIRD DID WHICH CALL OR WHETHER EITHER COULD DO EITHER CALL. THIS SO MALE(S); FEMALE(S)NG IS SO UNLIKE THOSE OF THE KENYA RACES (LNS 06725-9) THAT FROM THE SOUND ANGLE ONE WOULD THINK IT WAS A DIFFERENT SPECIES. SPECIMEN LOCATED AT CORYNDON MUSEUM; NAIROBI, KENYA.
