NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 9. Bulk reel: 348; Extra cut(s) on bulk reel: 349; Extra cut length: 9:20Same bird recorded @ Rancho Grande. Quality: "1". Level: 2. No parabola. 203 tape. LN.Note: This bird sang only intermittently with spontaneous outbursts; it was not entilced to prolonged song by playback; often seemed interested by song of Sporophila nigricollis. This part is various recordings up to ~11:30 AM.Its song is not nearly as well developed as previous bird(s) and also seems somewhat different, as do the calls, too. It has one song theme that seems more frequently used than others.Note: I do not know the history of this bird prior to my receiving it.~12:25 PM. This is a continuation and is most of a spontaneous song session beginning ~12:20 PM. Quality: "1". Level: -2.Near the end of this section can be heard one bit of the "zee zee zee" motif so commonly used by the other bird(s) at end of a motif or typical long song phrase. Quality: "1". Level: -2.Then a later song session. Quality: "1". Level: -2. 7.5 ips. LN.This same session continued @ 15 ips. Quality: 1. Level: -2. LN.
