I was able to get a good estimate of this flock because I observed it for about ten minutes up close. This was my first sighting of this species anywhere on this island..
Observation details
Flock of about 25 Red-masked Parakeets that were eating the berries of a geiger (kou haole) tree in Makiki, Honolulu. They stayed for about 10 minutes and were not bothered by my photo-taking or by two pedestrians who walked by on the sidewalk right under the tree.
