Observation details
On the yacht club pier. Large godwit with a very long upturned bill and very long gray legs. Bill was pink at the base and dark at the tip, its upper-parts were a mottled (marbled) brown, its under-parts were buff. It sat there patiently with all the gulls for about an hour until a kite surfer scared everything up which gave me good views of it in flight. Its under-wings were buff, its upper-wings showed dark primary coverts. It settled back down on the pier a bit farther out. Photos digiscoped. Oswego county record.
