Observation details

Bird found alive but weak and beached on the shoreline by beachgoers approximately one mile south of Horace Caldwell Pier on Mustang Island Gulf Beach in Port Aransas. Bird transported to the Animal Rehabilitation Keep by Andrew Orgill. The bird unfortunately passed away overnight and post-death photos were obtained. Eric Carpenter used photos and notes for TBRC report. Carcass was salvaged and sent to a collection. Adding details here as to list as a record for Nueces county.
