Observation details

First bird seen at the turnaround point, making short, high, sharp, soft "pik" calls. Seen well, briefly. Olive-gray above, with a gray hood extending onto the breast, a broken white eyering, and a whitish chin. Grayish tail, with bright yellow undertail coverts. Flitting around in low shrubs along the creek. Later, I got 2 more photos of presumably the same bird, apparently gleaning in alder amid a streamside shrubby tangle between the cross-fence and the raised hill. Second bird seen between rocky draw and diversion dam on the return. Recording of it making an emphatic call from a Clematis ligusticifolia tangle over the creek.
