NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 2. Bulk reel: 309 Weather: Fair. a) This recording (one call) was obtained incidental to trying to record Pyroderus scutatus, which is heard quite loudly. Quality: 2. Level: +5. Also heard are "bother notes" given by Myrmeciza longipes(?), calls by Tolmomyias flaviventris(?) b) 5/5/65. 6:30 AM. Probably same bird, obtained same way next AM. Quality: 2. Level: +5. The particular bird whose voice is recorded was not collected. However three other birds that were "singing" similarly were collected and seen to be of this species: male #4836, male #4838, male #5067. Scientific Name Change: current name Atalotriccus pilaris, previously recorded as Lophotriccus pilaris. 02May2006AR.
