Bulk reel: 259 See Field Notes of this data on this species and Lineated Woodpecker. 6:00 AM through ~ 6:45 AM. a) Short drums, apparently by same birds as in Cuts 14/20. Quality: 2. Level: 5. 15ips. b) Drums (all short) by male and female in this territory after playback of specially prepared field tape. Quality: 2. Level: 4. 7.5ips. c) 8:00 AM. "Bother notes" by this female at their nest, caused by my appearance. Quality: 1-2. Level: 6 then 5. In background Anhima cornuta, Phacellodomus rufifrons, Columbina talpacoti, Scardafella squammata, Troglodytes aedon, Forpus sp., Inezia sp., Crypturellus noctivagus, and at end Ortalis ruficauda, and one drum by the female woodpecker. c) continued on Reel #9 - In background are Scardafella squammata, Aramides sp., Jacana jacana, Ortalis. Quality: 1-2. Level: 4.5. 7.5ips. Sound stimulation was (other): playback special field tape. Other Behaviors: Bill Drumming.
