Observation details
Watched the large flock make passes over the water in the mudflats for about 30 minutes. It was an especially windy day, and the flock was riding the gusts close to the water surface before wheeling back and regrouping together higher up. Clear white undersides and blue shiny backs. Took a few closer photos and then one of the whole flock, which is what I used to count.
