Observation details
Seven of the geese that were together all had silver leg bands. I think there was at least one number, but could not make anything else out. Another smaller goose, fourth photo (no leg band) seemingly tried to join the group for more than ten minutes by gradually getting closer and honking continually. It picked up a reed on the ice, and one of the group came charging at it until it flew farther away.
