Observation details

A big flock was actively feeding in a weedy mesquite field here (32.0342826, -106.4383152). It was hard to get an accurate count as they were pretty buried in the weeds but at one point exactly 30 were counted in one scan with at least 6 individuals having just flown off into the pines across the street to the north and many more birds calling and singing still in the weeds so there were certainly more than 36 (I would guess around 50) but 36 was my minimum count. I’ll upload photos when I get home.
