Observation details
1 individual perched in an alder snag above the diversion dam; it then flew ca 70 m downstream to a snag by the diversion (where BARS have frequently perched this spring and summer). I suspect this bird was not defending a territory, given the distance covered so quickly? It was non-vocal. Later, heard one singing "fitz-BEW" along the creek above the rocky draw.
