Observation details
*Continuing bird, refound shortly before I arrived by MCHL at the extreme western end of the bay. Shortly after, it flew east over the blue bridge, coming to rest in the midst of a bread-tossing moshpit. Relocated several times in response to various bread-tossers around the bay; eventually found it sitting on a floating yellow boom with cormorants and other gulls, where it remained for quite a while before flying back west. During one of the feeding scrums I saw it do some cheeky little head bobs, which I normally associate with juvenile gulls begging their parents for a feed, towards a mute swan. Close enough? Photos
