Observation details
Pale, whitish contrasting outer tail feathers, streaking on the breast. All in a huge flock moving together across the Rann. IDed on field as Sand Lark/TSTL, initially thought they must be Sand but the gregarious behaviour was unlike the species. We managed some photos and they strongly indicate TSTL for the following reasons - a thick bill (slimmer and longer in Sand Lark), a long primary projection. Asian Short-toed Lark is a possibility but is unlikely in this region in such large numbers. It also seems to have a finer bill and less prominent streaking on the breast.
