Observation details

Could not see but could hear it calling. It was high up in redwood grove at the Ko-Kwel Casino Offices (across Hwy 101 from Casino) here: (43.3940697, -124.2213241). The call is diagnostic and I immediately recognized it on my way back to car parked nearby. I never saw the bird, it was calling as I walked the trail through the grove, but I must have scared it because it quickly stopped calling and I only got a few calls on audio. It never showed itself even after I played calls then songs. Once it stopped calling I have no idea where it might have gone. There is a lot of flowering ivy in the area and I expect it was eating bees which have been abundant in the ivy lately. This is a different bird than the Bandon bird which I heard was still there today.
