Observation details

Continuing female- all yellow but with orangish yellow rump and tail. I finally checked eBird photos and now realize that a female can be almost all yellow but with some orange in the wings, tail, and rump area which is what this bird had. No red anywhere on it. It was actively catching bees in the flowering ivy but sort of inside the trees, so it was partially hidden much of the time. The ivy is just chocked full of insects now and is a good place to find surprises this time of year. I couldn’t get it out in the open long enough for a photo, but we all had great looks.
