Observation details

Juvenile on post above brushy ditch, very focused on something below. At very close range watched it drop into grass and capture a plump brown rodent, most likely a vole as it had no white on it and did not have an obvious tail. Just a minute after swallowing the vole it made another drop into grass, this time unsuccessful, and then one more minute later it was captured and banded 2077-15653; 5U.
