Observation details
Spotted at 14:53. I stopped by Hamden Pumping Station this morning and had the / a Greater White-fronted the entire time I was there, and there is a subsequent list today from Ron Delia, who spent an hour there starting at 1:08pm. It's obviously plausible that that bird and any number of Canada Geese picked up and flew over to Round Valley between 2pm and 2:53pm when I saw this one, but it seems also well within the bounds of reason that two birds are involved. I was tempted to hightail it back over to Hamdem after this and see if the "first" one was still there, but the Thanksgiving shopping wouldn't wait. UPDATING to note that based on other checklists posted to eBird it looks like this bird was found by Michael Rehman in pretty much the same time period as Ron Delia was at Hamden Pumping Station with the "first" one, so it seems almost certain that two birds are involved.
