Observation details
Continuing individual being reported at several locations in the general area. Yellow-bellied Tyrannus flycatcher, similar in size and appearance to Western Kingbird (WEKI) but having much darker gray on the head/nape/chest area, along with a contrasting white patch located below each cheek (malar region) and connecting directly underneath the bill. No white on the outer retrices of the tail. On wires directly south of SR9336 and immediately east of the L-31W canal. Associating with one Scissor-tailed Flycatcher, which it would chase off now and then, briefly making its "ch-beer" call while doing so. Photos coming soon.
