Observation details
Photos, paler mantled bird (still darker than CAGU and the same darkness or a tad lighter than most Western Gulls) that still stood out due to contrast with white neck, sharp head streaking, paleish eye, and thin and long bill with brighter yellow tip. More of a honey iris than white and finer head streaking than most birds present. Large overall with full throated look, making the head seem small when on water and not extending the neck. Bill had brighter yellow tip than the duller yellow-green color towards base. Could be the same bird found by Alvaro in HMB 3-4 years ago and Noah and Jack at the landfill in 2023.
