Observation details
Some sort of hybrid Mallard (drake), possibly with American Wigeon, Northern Shoveler or Domestic Mallard. I do not think it is an eclipse colouration but cannot rule it out based on my knowledge. Reddish brown flanks with many evenly spaced vertical light breaks; the brown seems to be overtop of the finely patterned grey on white of a Mallard further to the back. Quite a bit of white on the side in front of the black of rear end, otherwise typical drake Mallard. See photo.
