Observation details
Seen flying above, giving their characteristic Eurasian PEFA call. The very sad photo shown here barely shows the PEFA face pattern after extremely heavy lightening and contrast increases in post-processing. This bird was carrying prey, probably a pigeon. I had noticed that the falcons seemed to have a roost in the cathedral tower; the bird in question circled the tower and then suddenly disappeared, apparently after landing on the tower's east side.
