Media notes

Hairy woodpecker calls at 4.4, 8, 9.7, 13.5, 19.5, 22.2, 25, 28.7 seconds into recording.

Observation details

Saw and heard a couple of smaller woodpeckers about 1/2 mile up trail 159 from the trailhead, recorded and Merlin indicated a Hairy Woodpecker. So the II is based mostly on the recording.

Additional species

  • White-breasted Nuthatch Sitta carolinensis
