Observation details

Got to see an interesting interaction with the northern shrike, it was perched on a bare tree. Nearby, American Robins and Black-capped Chickadees became noticeably alert, some of them giving vocal alert calls. One American Robin flew over and landed on the same tree as the Shrike. NSHR immediately became defensive and chased the Robin away, making calls shortly afterward.
