*Rare. List updated on Oct 26, 2025. I've been going back through my shearwaters that eBird changed to "Cory's/Scopoli's Shearwater" about a year ago. The first two bird photos under "Cory's/Scopoli's Shearwater" in this list show Cory's Shearwater (I will also leave them there in this list for reference). Those first two photos show a clear view of the underwings. The bird in the photos does not show any white "tongues" projecting down the outer primaries, so these are Cory's. I have confirmed this with pelagic expert Todd McGrath.
