Observation details
A rather interesting individual. In flight all the primaries and most of the secondaries on the upperwing were black, with thick longitudinal black streaks on the pouter webs of the tertials. This brought to mind the possibility that the bird might have been an escaped Eastern White Pelican, Pelecanus onocrotalus, however the face pattern (specifically the feathering around the eye and base of the bill) was wrong for that species.
