Observation details
5 cormorants came flying by close. With my naked eye I could see the smaller one. I grabbed my camera and started snapping. The whole observation was 10-20 seconds. I could see the smaller cormorant appeared to have its neck stretched, which was shorter than the other corms. The body and wings looked smaller the whole time. I was excited and 99.9% sure. I sent some boc photos to Some others who all thought it looked correct. I also sent some boc photos to Gautam Apte and Jen Brumfield, both replied “classic neo” and “slam dunk”. This species has been in my radar for a while. Second county record. Brad and Andrea Imhoff found the first one in 2020.
