NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 4. Bulk reel: 220Weather: Fair. The whistled calls, given here by a pair of birds, appear to be the "normal" "song" of this species, rather than the calls of Cut #2, which seem to indicate a stress condition.First part (~ 1 min.) 62": Much bird noise in background, most of which I can't identify with certainty, but do recognize: Ardea cocoi, Pitangus sulphuratus, and probably many others are Ardea alba, Opisthocomus hoatzin, Nycticorax nycticorax, etc.Second part (~ 2.5 min.) 2:35: Less noise from others but note especially Pitangus sulphuratus, Pitangus lictor, Tigrisoma lineatum, Caracara plancus, Alligator mississippienses "cough" (also rushing in water), Ardea cocoi, and others.Third part (~4.5 min) 4:30: Most of foreign sounds are from Hoatzin & Great Kiskadee but do note others such as Sakesphorus canadensis, various alligator sounds, and @ ~ 2' a very pronounced sound not recognizable but a bit like spoonbill.Fourth part (~40"): Least interference but still some, especially Hoatzin and Tern.
