NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 8. Bulk reel: 219.Nesting study.1) 6:35 AM. Cloudy, foggy. Whistles by female as she tosses back leaves (~ 1 min.) shortly after emerging from nest. Then calls by male and something like rally calls after female had gone to meet male (see separate notes). Shortly, the nest pair (presumably) resumed with song from a short distance away. Quality: 2. Level: +3. Copied from SN to N-4.2. 203 tape. Tape speed: 3 3/4. LN.b) 11:03, cloudy, bright. ~ 1/2 hour after female's return to nest the male left his waiting place and half walked, half jumped down bank, crossed trail and entered my blind, plucking things from ground. These are the vocalizations recorded as he approached and during brief time he remained in blind. Quality: 1-2. Level: +3. Tape speed: 7.5. LN.
