Subset of large flock vocal in pond. Preening/foraging in pond. Social interaction.
Observation details
Continuing large quantity. Started to estimate by hundreds. Perhaps as many as 10k. Thick line of them just off shore, plus many others spread throughout. Subsets of the large flock flew frequently.
