Media notes
1 of 2 POJA's that approached the boat together. This one had short frayed central tail feathers.
Observation details
One jaeger observed as a brief flyby at 11:09 was initially ID'd as a jaeger sp. Revised to POJA based on photos (shown here). It was an immature with no significant central tail feather extensions. Later, at 11:42, two POJA's approached the boat from behind and made a close pass by before continuing SW. Photos. Spoon shaped tails made these relatively easy to ID compared to the many immature jaegers seen throughout the day.
