Observation details

Conservative count of individual birds heard along prime riparian habitat, the First Creek drainage of Stormy Mountain watershed. Max elevation 2110 ft. ID based on clearly hearing a quick trombone-slide whistle going from high to low to high, which Merlin consistently ID'd as Western Flycatcher. Recording to follow. This area in past years has had numerous Pacific Slope Flycatchers. No definitive sightings on this trip.
