Observation details
After one bird strafed the Red-tailed Hawk, if joined up with its mate. Both flew to a nest in a cedar elm in an open area. The female landed on the nest and settled down into the nest, arranged nest material and moved around forming the nest. She stayed in the nest for an extended time. The male flew a short distance away and later returned to the nest tree and perched near the female in the nest. The male's tail is shorter on one side than the other. The nest has lots of human-made material in it and is about 10’ high on lowest limb of the tree.
