Observation details
On horizontal branch in hackberry in S corner of sanctuary. Medium-sized bird with highly camouflaged, cryptic plumage in shades of gray and tan. Small head, tiny beak, short legs only visible when changing position, long wings with white visible on dark primary projections closer to tips than bend of wing. Nikon Aculon 7x50 binoculars, Canon Rebel EIS T6i camera with 170-600mm zoom lens.
