Observation details

Together in last year’s bean stubble. Doing very well hiding considering there’s not much cover out there. Fairly large shorebirds, long thin neck, blank face with dark eye. Getting too dark for photos but I walked out and got a recording of the “quip-pip-pip” call that should work. Also an abbreviated single and double note version. Both birds flew back in to the original location as I was leaving. Long tail, dark wrist mark, deliberately stiff wing beat.
