Observation details
Large all black bird making a short "awk" "awking" sound different than the Caw of an American Crow. Also the adult bird had rufous neck that flared out when it called and appears as a beard at rest. The Fish Crow had a shorter/smaller body with different feather pattern on the wings and longer wing feathers over the tail. I first observed it feeding or pulling something apart atop a light pole in the parking lot and it flew to a tree in the holding basin NE of the boat ramp where I had seen a smaller Crow that I suspect is a (juvenile Fish Crow -photo provided ). Suspected Breeding! It was out of sight for a couple minutes while I relocated to take pictures so missed out if it was feeding the smaller bird. After calling for a minute and cleaning its beak on the branch the bird flew East to the Marina.
