Location: 20500 Spears Road, Pinckney, MI 48169. Background: Ovenbird, blue jay. Environment: Lawn with bird feeders and garden surrounded by oak-maple forest. Weather: Upper 60’s, thick overcast, very light wind. Notes: A group of half-a-dozen doves were rapidly circling the yard from three to tree, making lots of wing-whistles as they went. They may have been fledges. There were several adults doing long vocalizations in the area, one or two fairly close, some in the distance. Output: The track is not normalized; the frequency range of the wing-whistle is right in the fuzz band.
