Observation details
Follow up on a bird I initially thought was a Bonaparte’s Gull earlier this week, but did not scrutinize enough. Saw the bird being harassed by larger gulls quickly after arrival (@5:15pm, small slender frame with white leading edge of wings), but still at a considerable distance. It was generally loafing with the large group of gulls on the center concrete line. I circled around to view from the north, and quickly refound the bird among the group of gulls. In addition to smaller size, the textbook red and black bicolored bill was visible as was the dark linear spot behind the eye. Immature. Poor but identifiable digibin photos to be added.
