Observation details

Insane !!!!!!! We found it inside the forest, 1km away from the road, after 3h walking out of trails with the machete, up and down through steepy slopes and rivers. We initially looking for Pittasoma when we heard some bill snap nearby. We put the playback and wait, the Ground-Cuckoo turn around us and snaping a lot, we manage to get some briefs views, tension was high... when finally we put our eyes on this beast. We spend around 1h with it, trying to get more views, and even manage some poor pics. What a bird !!! At the end, another bird was heard singing further away. Special thanks to Sergio Basant and the owner of Finca las Cotingas for the access !
