Media notes
A Forster's Tern, agitated as we unintentionally paddled into an area of lily pads and rushes presumably used by a colony for nesting.
Observation details
A number carrying food, and they were all very disturbed with our presence in what was obviously their nesting area among lily pads out from river mouth (some were dive bombing us, and others were clearly agitated). At one point I was able to count 15 in flight, and a conservative estimate of 10 others that were flying out over the lake north and east of the reed and lily pad area.
