Observation details

Continuing, at the location Mark Montazer found the Sparrow on Dec 25th. Quick look at 10 am when it was sitting in the brambles, then a longer look 45 minutes later when it was sitting in the top of the tall grasses 20-30 ft left of the brambles. Bright orange-yellow face with a gray cheek, purplish spots on gray nape, and black streaking on sides of the chest. White median crown stripe. Sparrow was also picked up by Merlin. No calls or playback were used.
